We Don't Use That Door Anyway

Yesterday the snow slid off the roof of the garage onto the patio. Clearly, spring is just around the corner.

Hi Tracy, I just discovered your blog and really love your style - realism with an added dimension. Your use of color is great!

Also wanted to point out an error in your 'favorite blogs' section. The url for "Plein Air" has an extra slash at the end which prevents it from working for me (using Firefox). Feel free to delete this 2nd paragraph - but it's the only way I saw to contact you.

Karen, Mud is our big sign of spring here. It's hard to believe we will ever see the ground again, but I guess it will happen.

Hi Joe, thanks so much for visiting and for the nice words concerning my work. And thanks for pointing out the link. I went in and fixed it. And I did have my email on the site but I suspect it got deleted when I switched to beta, I seemed to have lost a lot of things on the site when I did that! Anyway, I added it again to my profile.

Lauren, yes, that door is history! Maybe we'll get out of the the garage in May...

Hi Rebecca, Glad to hear from you! And I know what you mean. I grew up in Minnesota and when I moved to Philadelphia, I sure did miss those winters.

We came close to hitting a new record in Denver for snow coverage. This year we had 61 days of continuous snow on the ground, which was 2 or 3 days short of the record.

That's 9 weeks of snow on the ground - ack. I can definitely sympathize. I hope the sunshines soon!

Lisa, I totally sympathize with YOU! We had hardly any snow this winter at all-up until the massive storm in mid Feb. We have a ways to go to catch up with Colorado!

I have never seen that much snow. We get small ice storms in Texas. And I lived in So Cal for a while, and obviously no real snow there. I would like to experience one massive snow storm - just so I can say, "Yo, that was one crazy snow storm."

Hi James, Thanks for visiting!

I have seen a lot of snowstorms, but this is definitely the biggest storm and the most snow that I have seen.

So I am done now-no more big storms right? ha
